With its beautiful beaches, stunning scenery, mighty castles and powerful cities, Northumbria is one of our most interesting destinations. On this tour we enjoy a visit to Alnwick Castle, which has featured in the Harry Potter films and Downton Abbey and also visit Alnwick Garden, where the notorious Poison Garden is one of the main attractions. We will travel through Catherine Cookson Country as we head for the coast and also tides permitting travel across the causeway to Holy Island, with the fortress-style Lindisfarne Castle perched high above the sea.

Your Hotel

Boasting one of the finest locations in Newcastle, the Millennium Copthorne Hotel is our base for this tour. Situated on the banks of the River Tyne and just a short stroll from the city centre, the hotel has all the amenities you would expect in a modern hotel. The en-suite bedrooms are all river facing and have lovely views and are served by a lift.
