Join us for a spectacular celebration of autumn colour as we visit Dorney Court, a Tudor manor house next to the Thames followed by a visit to beautiful Borde Hill Gardens, created by plant hunters in the early 1900s, which is famous for its autumn colours and is a Grade II listed landscape. We also include a visit to Wakehurst, a wild botanic garden on the High Weald of West Sussex, where the Millennium Seed Bank is held and finally indulge in a fabulous display of colour at the Autumn Flower Show at RHS Wisley, which offers floral displays, trade stands and award winning nurseries and designers, as well as the National Dahlia Society Annual Show.
Friday: We travel to Dorney Court for our afternoon guided tour which includes tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival and a glass of Pimms in the Great Hall before we leave. We then continue to the hotel.
Saturday:We begin with a morning guided tour at Borde Hill Gardens, followed by time for lunch before we continue to Wakehurst for another guided tour of the ornamental gardens, nature reserve and woodlands.
Sunday: After breakfast we head for the RHS Wisley Flower Show, where we spend the day before our late afternoon departure back to Derbyshire.
We will be staying at the Hilton St Anne’s Manor Hotel which is located close to Reading, within easy reach of all the gardens.
The hotel has leisure facilities and a lift serves all floors. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished with en-suite
