The beautiful coastal town of Poole has proved popular with our guests in recent years, so we are including it again with a return visit to the Thistle Hotel. Dorset is famous for its picturesque Jurassic Coastline, traditional seaside towns, rolling countryside and pretty villages and on this tour there will be plenty of time to enjoy all the attractions of Poole and to take a cruise around the magnificent harbour, as well as visiting the unspoilt Isle of Purbeck.
Monday: Travel to Poole, arriving at the hotel late afternoon.
Tuesday: A free day to explore Poole. Take a stroll around the town centre, sit by the Quay or enjoy a walk alongside the beautiful harbour.
Wednesday: A full day excursion to the Isle of Purbeck with visits to the Georgian town of Wareham and the
seaside resort of Swanage.
Thursday: This morning there will be free time in Poole, before we enjoy a leisurely cruise around the harbour
in the afternoon.
Friday: After breakfast, we begin our journey back to Derbyshire.
The Thistle Poole Hotel has a prominent position on Poole’s famous Quayside. Many of the rooms have panoramic views of the sea and the harbour and the hotel is just a short stroll from all of the amenities of this
delightful coastal town. The en-suite bedrooms are well furnished and have tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, TV and iron. A lift serves all floors and there are ground floor rooms available but the hotel does not have rooms with walk in showers. Rooms with a sea or harbour view are available at a supplement and on request.
