Explore the beautiful county of Hampshire, with a journey on the famous Mid Hants Railway, also known as the Watercress Line and a visit to the Bombay Sapphire Distillery, which is set in a picturesque conservation area.
The distillery explains the processes involved in producing the famous gin and visitors can explore the distillery at their own pace. There will also be time to discover the historic cities of Winchester and Portsmouth.
Sunday: We travel to Winchester with a stop for lunch on the way.
Monday: This morning, we spend time in Winchester before continuing on to Laverstoke Mill for our afternoon visit to the Bombay Sapphire Distillery.
Tuesday: We head for the Georgian town of Alresford, where there will be time to look around before our train journey on the Watercress Line, through the pretty Hampshire countryside to Alton.
Wednesday: We take a full day excursion to Portsmouth, maybe visit the historic dockyard or stroll along the promenade at Southsea.
Thursday: With luggage loaded, it is time to begin the journey back to Derbyshire.
